EARTH, 2562 A.D.

After centuries of war and suffering, peace slowly began to return to the world. Just as civilization had started to recover, however, another crisis fell upon it - an extra-terrestrial armada pillaged the earth, taking with them virtually all of the known supplies of gold. Society was plunged into chaos - financial markets experienced a recession of unparalleled proportions, electronics production ceased altogether, and people with dental fillings dared not wander out in public.

An international task force was created with the aim of recovering the gold. Scraping together what they could with the miniscule amount that had not been plundered, a shuttle was constructed that would serve justice upon the invaders. It contained a few spherical exploration pods, which would navigate the planetary surface by means of bouncing upon it.

You are responsible for piloting the pods and returning all of the gold to Earth. If this mission fails, humanity will be doomed to return to the Stone Age.

You are our only hope!

To run this game on a modern computer, you will need to use a ZX Spectrum emulator - I recommend Fuse, which is free, open-source, and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

You can, of course, also run it on a real Spectrum computer, if you convert the tape to an audio file.

Hi, I’m contacting you because I want to create a homebrew tribute USB. I’m collecting as many content creators as possible. I also want to include a profile for each one, with some details like their logo, avatar, name, completed work, projects, etc., so you can see who’s behind their creations.

That profile, along with any material you allow me to upload, will be saved on a USB flash drive. This will function as a database of creators and their creations, and will be updated as I connect with more new people.

The USB flash drive I’m planning to create will be one of those rubberized USB flash drives, shaped like a Spectrum, something that looks really cool. The idea is that those who contribute material and want to buy one or more will get them at cost price, and those who are just users and want to buy some will have a slightly higher price.

The idea is that if enough units are sold to recover the initial investment, the profits generated by the remaining USB drives will be distributed among those who contributed material to the project, via wire transfer, PayPal, or, if possible, the USB drive will be free. Obviously, you can buy more than one, but only one can be free.

It’s not necessary or mandatory to buy the USB drive; you only need to buy it if you like it or want it.

If you’re interested in this project, you can contact me at this email: flopping@gmail.com. If you have any questions or concerns, let me know and I’ll get back to you. Does this sound like a good idea? Would you like to participate in the project? Let me know. Best regards,

Juan.

This game is so epic

Utterly stunning game. Hard to believe it's running on a humble Speccy!

It's not just a technical marvel, but it plays really well too.  Brilliant stuff!
